Work has been/is busy and that is good. Our kids are growing up so fast and doing more and more activities. And because of that the BrewHaus has been quiet for the last 4 months. So I decided with a bit of free time last night to get in the brewhaus and see what I could do in there. I was surprised to find…some things growing in a brew kettle and a couple of buckets. So I spent the next 2 hours cleaning everything up, and I mean EVERYTHING. All the buckets and carboys. The HLT, Mash Tun, and the Boil Kettle. I even washed the floors.

Today my plan is to get in there and wash the floors again. I also have an Octoberfest that needs to be moved from Primary to Aging in the lager fridge.

I was also thinking that I was going to work on a Parti-Gyle Recipe. The link will explain more but basically a Parti-Gyle process consists of making 2 batches of beer with one grain bill. Obviously a big grain bill is needed so that you get one large beer and one average beer (Large and Average refer to the ABV not the taste or quality). Stay tuned for recipes on this topic.
