In Christmas of 2002 I received my first homebrew kit similar to this one here.  After almost a year of reading and researching I finally brewed my first extract batch of beer in the early part of 2004.  Some in this hobby will tell you that you either love it or hate it.  I can assure you that I was indeed hooked.  I brewed several extract batches from 2004 through August of 2005.  However, my wife really did not like the smell and mess that was taking place in the kitchen.  So, In August of 2005 when my wife and I bought a house, I took a very long 2 year hiatus from brewing to build a dedicated brew room in my basement.  The set up is a natural gas 10 gallon tiered system.  You can take a look by clicking on the Equipment link to the left.
